Animated Features for Fall of 2017!

This was a big year for animation, but the year isn't over yet! There's still quite a bit that will be released before the end of the year. Here's a list of just a few of the one's coming out this fall!

The Lego Ninjago Movie

Released by Warner Animation Group and animation produced by Animal Logic, The Lego Ninjago Movie will be in theaters today, September 22, 2017!

It's based off the toy line, and a spin-off on 2014’s “The Lego Movie”. Lego Ninjago is an animation about the “Green Ninja”, who is being trained by Master Wu to defeat “The Worst Guy Ever”. All the other secret ninja warriors help “The Green Ninja” plot against his father.

My Little Pony: The Movie

Lionsgate will release the "My Little Pony" movie on October 6, 2017! It was Directed by Jayson Thiessen from a screenplay written by Megan McCarthy, and produced by Allspark Pictures and DHX Media!

Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy and Rarity, or the Mane 6, use the magic of friendship to help them on their quest to defeat The Dark Force’s threat on Ponyville!

Coco

Director Lee Unkrich and so many other talented co-directors, producers, voice actors, and more from Disney and Pixar have been working on "Coco" for years! The Día de los Muertos themed animation that will be released a little bit after the holiday on November 22, 2017!

His drive to prove his talent as a musician gets Miguel in a bit of a mix up. But, it does not stop him from undertaking a journey with his two friends to find out about his ancestor’s ban on music.

Ferdinand

Based off “The Story of Ferdinand” by Munro Leaf and Robert Lawson, 20th Century Fox and Blue Sky Studios bring "Ferdinand" to big screen on December 15, 2017!  

"Ferdinand" is directed Rio helmer Carlos Saldanha, with John Cena as the voice of Ferdinand. We get to follow a giant bull through his adventure in Spain! Don't let his size fool you though, he is actually just trying to get away from his captors and home to his family. A gentle giant that proves that appearances are often misleading!

7 Animated Sequels We Can't Wait to Watch!

With so many upcoming animated sequels in the works, we knew we had to list the top films we're most anticipating! Sure, some aren't coming out for a while, but that doesn't mean we need to delay our excitement. Let us know if you agree with our list in either the comments below or on social!

1. Cars 3 - Summer 2017

The third movie in the Cars franchise focuses on veteran racer Lighting McQueen, racing with old friends and enemies around the country, and blindsided by a new generation of fast racers! The Cars franchise takes a somewhat simple story line and takes it to the next level with its fantastic animation and voice overs!

2. Despicable Me 3 - Summer 2017

The third installment in the Despicable Me series is sure to be cute and entertaining, with voice overs from Steve Carrell and Kristin Wiig, we know both kids and adults will enjoy watching their favorite minions back in action!

3. The Lego Batman Movie - Summer 2017

In the sequel to The Lego Movie this 3D computer animated action-comedy superhero film shows Batman going through a personal journey, where he finds both himself and the importance of teamwork. The first Lego Movie surprised critics at the box office and earned a 96% on Rotten Tomatoes, we're sure this one will do just as well

4. Secret Life of Pets 2 - Summer 2018

If you follow us on social, you'll already know we're excited about the second installment of Secret Life of Pets! This hilarious story which follows what pets do while their owners leave for work during the day, will be back in the summer of 2018 for more laughs and mischief from Max and Duke!

5. How to Train Your Dragon 3 - Summer 2018

We're excited to see what Dreamworks has instore for us with How to Train Your Dragon 3, after executives kept pushing back the release date to ensure the film maximized their creative talent, we know we'll be impressed with their animation work!

6. Toy Story 4 - Summer 2018

Whats not to love about the Toy Story franchise? Woody, Buzz, and all their friends will reunited in the theaters in 2018 and we're sure that Pixar will not let Toy Story fans be disappointed as Woody and his friends help him find his long lost love, Bo Peep.

7. The Incredibles 2 - Summer 2019

The original Incredibles released back in 2004, was an instant hit at the box office! After years of back and forth discussions between studios and film execs the film's sequel is set to release in the summer of 2019! We've waited 12 years so far, I guess we can wait 3 more to watch this incredible family fight crime!
